What Does Integration Mean for Golf Technologies? How PLATFORM Golf Syncs Your Simulator to the Ground Beneath You

Integration has become a common term in the technology industry. Every app, device, and platform claims to integrate with something.

But what exactly does it mean? And most importantly, what does it mean for golf simulator software and moving platform technology?

Integration is when your technology speaks to each other for a seamless experience.

What Does Integration Mean for Golf Technologies?

In simple terms, integration means our software systems speak to each other. The simulator, PLATFORM Golf SSG™ software, and the platform share data automatically, creating a seamless experience with a single sign on solution.

How Does Integration Apply to Your Experience in Simulator Golf?

You hit a tee shot into the simulator. It lands on the virtual fairway on a sloped lie, based on the LiDAR scans the simulator software provides.

LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) uses lasers to measure millions of points across a real golf course and build an exact 3D map of every slope, ridge, and hollow. The courses on TruGolf and TrackMan simulators is LiDAR mapped, so the lie on screen reflects the real terrain.

The simulator technology communicates that lie percentage to our software hub, SSG™ (Simulation Singularity for Golf). SSG™ is the connective tissue. It communicates the slope to the control box of the platform, which then moves the TrueSlope™ platform to the slope displayed on screen.

Simulator → SSG™ → control box → TrueSlope™ → your real lie.

Movement from one extreme to the other happens in under 20 seconds with zero sound. Meaning before you grab the next club out of your bag, the platform has already moved, without a click of a button.

How Does Integration Work for Breaking Putts?

The same process applies when you land on the putting green for a breaking putt.

A virtual hole is then projected on the platform, and you roll a true breaking putt to complete your hole and get a true made putt feeling.

What If My Putt Is 30 Feet and My Platform Is Only 16 Feet?

The platform moves to reflect the beginning leg of your putt, based on the length of your platform. Once the putt leaves the platform and enters the virtual display, it follows the contours in the simulator.

Once you are within range to finish the hole on the platform, the virtual hole is projected and the platform moves to recreate the putt displayed on screen.

About 97% of made putts are inside 10 feet. So this reflects where, most of the time, you would be holing it out on the course.

Which Simulators Does PLATFORM Golf Integrate With?

This applies today for TruGolf simulators, with a TrackMan integration coming at the end of 2026 following the partnership announced in January 2026.

What About Putting Integrations With Science & Motion Sports?

Science & Motion Sports (SAM) integrates with TrueSlope™ and TrueBreak™. Meaning the technology works hand in hand: when you adjust the slope of the platform, the data automatically adjusts to that slope, so your feedback stays accurate and reflects your stroke and ball speed adjustments from there.

The Screen and the Ground, Finally in Sync

A simulator can show you the slope. Integration lets you feel it.

Tee off, hit your approach from the lie on screen, read the break, make the putt. That is how PLATFORM closes the experience loop between off-course and on-course golf. As CEO Thomas Hackett puts it, “If golf is played on slopes, it should be trained and practiced on slopes.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What is SSG™ software?

SSG™ (Simulation Singularity for Golf) is PLATFORM Golf’s software hub. It takes the slope from the golf simulator and communicates it to the platform’s control box, so the lie under your feet matches the lie on screen.

Does PLATFORM Golf integrate with TrackMan?

The TrackMan integration for TrueSlope™ is coming at the end of 2026, following the partnership announced in January 2026. TruGolf simulators integrate with TrueSlope™ today.

How fast does the platform move between shots?

TrueSlope™ moves from one extreme to the other in under 20 seconds with zero sound, so your next lie is set before you pull your next club.
